Default Keep your eyes out on screws that stripe out of the plastic head on the V3.

I don't know how long this is been like this but. I have one screw that is striped out of the plastic. You don't notice it by looking at it. I was changing my coil and rapping the coil wire around the rod. I grabbed one of the edge of the black plastic control head and it felt because of the soft rubber center. It should be tight and not spongy fealing. It is 2 peace of plastic held by 4 scews. I could see I could pull the corner open a bit. I went to get my Allen to tighten it up and the screw would not grab. I had to find out if it was striped. I will have to send it in too Whites for a fix and up grade. I remember someone that had problem with this about 6 mo. ago. I have about 5 or 6 weeks left to hunt and I will send it after that.

I am sure White's will get you fixed right up. They really seem to take care of their customers, Beale.

I purchased a new v3 and out of the box I hadn't noticed the same "pull through". After contacting the dealer he advised me that he had seen 1 before with the same issue. It is with the early versions of the v3 and something with the plastic composition. Without hesitation a brand new complete v3 was given with any hassle. Just bring it back and a new one will be given. Whites knows about the problem.

Hope this asures you

Cheers

There should be no newer V3's with this problem. Carl said it has been addressed. Rob
