| Minelab EXCALIBUR 1000 & EXCALIBUR 800 Both Excalibur models, like the "sword of legend", cut through the most difficult and worst of conditions found on salt water beaches, to provide an excellence in water hunting found no where else. Utilizing BBS Technology, transmitting 17 different frequencies from 1.5kHz to 25.5kHz at once, and unique construction, the Excalibur "just finds the lost jewelry and coins". The dedicated salt water hunters will tell you how reliable, and tough this machine is. With either 10" or 8" coils, The Minelab Excalibur smokes the competition. |

Been playing round with my excal, trying to locate deeper targets.. so I bumped my sens off of 6 and hit 8.. left the disc at the same, 1.. did great in the dry sand and wet sand..but oh boy the minute I got into the waves it went nutso with false signals.. has anyone else tried this? I then have to turn the sens back down when I am in the water..

it's the salt and the saltwater moving under the coil. If you take the threshold below audible you can run your excal hotter in the water.
