Default All metal and Iron question?

Do you have to hunt in all metal to find coins that are masked by iron?
Thanks for the help!

Not IMHO. If your detector can separate well and has a good iron regect, Beale.

As Beale said, the answer is 'No' IMHO also. You only want to hunt in an 'all metal' mode in a few situations...say the beach, and looking for relics also in a wooded area. Depending on what md you use, it will determine the iron masking abilities and also the time it takes to recover and reset itself (the md) to find the good stuff. Some detectors are way better than others at this ability, but also the use of a 'sniper' (small) coil makes this easier to separate the hits/targets by presenting the md a smaller field of view...good luck

Rick

I hunt all metal most of the time.

Looking for gold you just don't want discrim.

Places I hunt, you don't expect to many other targets and Iron is good because it could be a Meteorite.
