Cool Help with point??

Hello all,

As you know I am new to this point hunting etc. The last couple times I have been out I found a couple interesting things. The first trip was this little guy. From the amount of research I believe it is a Dalton/Bird Point??

I was wondering if anyone could give me an estimate on age? I found this one below the Kaw Dam here in Ponca City/Kaw Lake.

It measures about 1 1/4" from the remaining ear/tang to point and has pink/tan and white coloration.

Sorry about the pics, I should have taken them down by the river. If anyone can help a newb out I would greatly appreciate it!!

Thanks everyone!

Chris

Hey there Howey Thanks for the welcome bud!

Wow, that old.....That is just awesome. I think that is what interests me most is the time frames on these Indian Artifacts. Sounds like a nice starter point for the collection!!!

Any other info provided would be great. One of these days I will get my but down to the library and start reading up on this cool stuff.

Thanks for the reply Howey!!

Happy hunting.

Chris

Hey Howey,

How could I determine if this is a Beaver Lake or Dalton?

Since I am so new at this they both look damn near identical to me

Thanks again!

Chris
