Default Testing out the 6x10

I took the V3 to the usual soccer fields with its new 6x10. I hunted places that I'd hunted before, but obviously not that well.

The first ring bounced between the 60's and 70's, probably because the band is cracked at the narrowest point. I could see why I might not have dug this if I was lazy. The second one, though, was a solid 86 and fairly unmistakable. I was thinking it could be a couple of quarters stuck together when I saw the silver in the dirt. It was in pretty bad shape for silver...fertilizer probably. They both cleaned up OK.

There's also a 50's wheat in there from another outing. That bent up coin is a 1992 GB 10 Pence. About half the stuff, including the rings, are from today.

Thumbs up for the V3 and 6x10!

(I will update the map -> http://www.treasurequestxlt.com/comm...our-finds.html)

Chris;

A hunt well done. How does the V3 compare to the DFX and the Minelab you have...???I read on your site where you compared the DFX to the Minelab...so it would be nice to get an opinion...

The V seems to lock onto targets faster, more clearly and stronger than the DFX (with less chatter). It seems easier to trust...it does give you a lot of data to make judgements with after all.

I use the V (and formerly the DFX) and the E-Trac for different purposes. The Minelabs have excellent depth and are not susceptible to EMI...but they are slow. If you sweep too fast you won't hear the target. The V and DFX are twice as fast as the Minelab (in terms of nominal sweep speed). I look at the site, the type of hunting I want to do and make a decision...most of the time I bring both if I am going somewhere new.
