The last time I went detecting in the woods I came out with a nice case of Pioson Oak.Do you wear any kind of gloves when in the woods?I'[m thinking about finding some for this reason. They will need to be thin.

Yep, I use 'em every time I hunt especially in the fall 'cause you can't see the poison ivy anymore, but the roots are there and will get you just as good as the leaves.
The ones I use, not sure what you call 'em but they are a thin knit and the palms and fingers have been sprayed or dipped in some kind of rubber. They work real good, and still give you enough dexterity to hold on to the little things. I'm sure there are others here that use them as well. I can let you know more about them when I get home this week.
Jamie.

sometimes I will use rubber gloves the kind doctors use in case of needles just toss them. Also your coil will have the oils on it so be careful.

I should wear gloves more often, but I dont. It a restrictive peeve of mine. More offten than not, I cant find them when I need them. I am always mis-placing them somwhere.

The only time I am force to wear gloves is when it gets cold or I know it goign to be wet and muddy. I dont often hunt in the woods. But I hate getting a bunch of crud all over my hands. I always bring a away to wash my hands if its going to be an long hunt.
