Default Any straight sided Coke collectors?

Is there anybody out there who is familiar with straight side Cokes?I found one in a Texarkana,AR creek earlier this year that is supposed to be rare. One of the local collectors told me he only knows of about 40 complete examples. It has T.O. Smith & Co. TEXARKANA AND ASHDOWN ARK. on one face and Coca Cola trademark registered on the other. It's complete but is scuffed and has a small crack from tumbling in the creek.I'll try to post pics soon.

Default Sub-contracted

I have found a lot of the straight sided Coke bottles and from the description you give, it sounds as if you have a sub-contract company bottle, bottling and distributing flavored beverages for the Coca-Cola company. It predates the Harrison Act which outlawed the addition of Cocain in the sodas of the day.
Turn of the century to about 1920+.
Your find is a good one but with the crack it renders it practically worthless. Keep it till you find a good one, that is if you are interested in bottles.
If you are interested in bottles maybe you can go with us sometime on a Lamar dig. You can find some of my posts on the subject under Dump digging. I know it's a long drive from Fouke Ark. But the invite is there!

Lamar dig huh? I am in Crowley and got the line our old dump. Have not checked it yet for bottles. Mostly all I see are shingles. Dump covered several acres and was used until the 50's. It is all grown over with trees now. Trash was covered with dirt. I don't really know where to begin... Definitely untapped as far as being dug for bottles etc. I ride dirt bikes there a lot. Interested?
