I've heard the science, but a long time ago. Can anyone tell me the latest most enduring theories regarding this craft? I have personal experience, most can be replicated as with an experiment. But some have defied reason and science. Example: Finding a silver dime under seven (not three) identical coffee cups with a pendulum...eleven times in a row! After failing on the twelfth attempt, I was no longer able to produce any results. I have tried again, with several different pendulums, several times over the years with still no results. On the other hand, metal rods produce results to this day. Any input? thanks, plumber

Welcome to the forum from Southern New Mexico!
Strait Up, I don't believe in it but yet I've seen people find water when no one else could. I have a open mind and will be watching.

If it ain't natural...it is supernatural or unnatural. That's my take on physical laws and science. I do prefer natural. Thanks for the response! plumber |

Hey! maybe that's what was working the pendulum!
All kidding aside, I'd be willing to entertain the E.M. field of the dime and the Coriolis effect on objects that are able to float, rotate and move freely...but...er that's about it. E.M. fields and various "natural" energy waves and metallic rods on the other hand have a lot more going for them. I have been able to duplicate results through out the years on various metallic and hollow cavity related finds. Actually it was a failed find that pretty much convinced me that science was involved. A back hoe confirmed I had mapped out 200 ft. of pipe...but my map was an exact mirror image of what was in the ground and it was exactly 90 degrees leading away from the real direction of the pipe. Kind of hard to explain, unless something was reflecting or bouncing back off of the pipe I was mapping. plumber |

Welcome to TQ plumber from South in Vancouver. I fall somewhere about where you are at on the dowsing issue. I am not sure about it at all. I try to be open minded but it doesn't make sense to me.
I love your little town and used to go by there all the time to Hood Canal. I have spent many hours underwater there getting the crabs and some fish. We camped up there all the time when I was young and I love it up there. I always stop in Shelton for lunch when passing through.

Welcome to TQ. As to dowsing, I can locate water pipes, telephone and electrical cables in the ground using two wires. I can also tell you the approximate depth (sometimes).

By the way...are you a fellow viking or do you just love the movie 13th warrior? That is my favorite quote and one of the most re-watchable movies I have ever seen! Several good quotes in that movie! Yeah! |
