Ok all I need is the owners manual/users manual for a fortune hunter. There isnt a model number or serial number on it. Well all I need to know is how do you pin point with the thing and what is notching? If anybody can help I would sure apreciate it!

can't help you with a manual but i can explain "notching". notching is were you can discriminate out or allow certain targets and still allow other tatgets in that range area. say you are hunting in all metal but dont want to here pull tabs and quarters. some machines allow you to reject or allow these targets once your machine has detected it, or it might have a TID that allows you to accept or allow. kinda like selective hearing on a human.
