Default rain or snow

I heard that sometimes its better to hunt after a rain. My question is what about a good snow, is it any better hunting? Either way seems pretty cool.

One of my best hunts was in a pasture with about 4" of snow. It seems as if the snow intensified the signals. The main help was the grid.....I tipped my coil at the ends of the swings on each side and my foot prints made the pasture look like rows of a harvested crop.

Aways seemed to get better signals when the ground is wet. Better conductivity (not sure i spelled that right)

i wouldn't think snow would make a difference, rain helps because moisture soaks into the ground, snow is above the ground and not really moist until it melts.

I have hunted when I had to come home and clean all my equipment. I do know it helps with the signals and I hit stuff deeper. I prefer rain it does not have to be cold then, Beale.
