Default Chinese coin found in Wisconsin?

I found this one at my Mother-In-Laws house today. Can anyone ID what it is? Is it real? How old? Is it worth anything? This is the first Non-USA coin other than Canadian I have dug up. It was down about 3" in very hard ground. The home was built in the late 1800's and historically it is a very old Italian neighborhood.
So, what is my Chinese coin found in Wisconsin in an old Italian neighborhood?

Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Eric

Well, I did find this on the web:

...scroll down to the second one and that is it! I must say, this is the OLDEST coin I have ever dug up. It looks like it is a common coin from this website. As for value, I still have no idea. It is one of the most interesting things I have found. Ya just gotta wonder though...How in the wold did it get here?

Default Great Find!

THATS A GREAT FIND REGARDLESS OF IT'S VALUE, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE GOLD? KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

I think the one I have is made of brass, but not sure. It is amazing that the age of it and the low value. I was sure it would be worth more...Oh well, at least it is one that can go in my collection of very interesting finds.
