Private Messaging

Hello,
We had to disable the private Messaging system for most as we install a new modification.
This modification will prevent new members from using our PM when their post count is under a certain number.

We're very sorry about the spammer that hit us earlier.

Thanks Gregory. I think that is a wise choice to keep spammers away from PMing everybody. One never knows where a virus may be lurking!

Your welcome FLD, this has happened twice here so this mod should slow them down.
When we're online we monitor new members, their IP and their email address.

Just another step to keep folks safe.

Good decision. I feel your pain, I run a vBulletin board also and those spammers/bots are relentless. I have new registrations set to be moderated on my site. If there is anything suspicious about the email they use (and I do research it)...delete account. If they don't confirm their registration in 48 hours...delete account. In fact, I just banned all of China from registering on my site
