Default Thanks Lollergirl!

I should thank her. I forgot all about treasurequest! Her private message came through on my email and reminded me about this forum!

Thanks Lollergirl!

Man, lollergirl sure was busy in the short time she was here!

To all those people who got a PM from her, my apologies. We have eliminated all the messages this spammer sent to emmbers here and if you did not open your messages here before 1:38 this afternoon, the messages have been deleted.

To those people who have been away and got a notification of a message, please take advantage of the opportunity to look around TQ.

A lot has changed and we are are better than ever with Virtual Hunts, our Group Buy, the ability to post photos of your finds on your Profile Page and some other great features, brought to you by the efforts of our great volunteers and sponsors!

Default inappropriate post

I'm not a prude by any streach but my kids go on this site reading about the different finds, a lot more than their father has produced and I don't want them exposed to that sort of post. Although, they probably see a lot worse on their surfing expeditions on the net, but I don't have to help them. Are those "private messages" regulated in any way? If not, then it should be confined to members only if not for anything other than tracking purposes. Just a thought!

Spammers are getting more creative about how to infiltrate. Recently another detecting website was hijacked by a hacker.

We do everything possible to keep spammers off the site. This one got through our security but we are analyzing how to he did it and how we can prevent it from happening again.

I can't say we will ever be 100% successful but this site (and almost every website) gets attacked every day. This one found a crack and we will plug it. They are just relentless. We had 3 suspicious people from that same area looking at us since 1:30 this afternoon.

I also received the PM and alerted Gregory without opening it. Happy to see that you guys are on top of things. It's a pity that we have to put up with weirdos like that.
