Default You Love The Site, Now Read The Magazine!

It is with great pleasure that I announce plans for the launch of Treasure Quest Magazine.

While still in the planning phase, this could become a great oppurtunity to reach even more people about the great hobbies we all take part in.

At this point, the idea is for a newspaper style magazine. Newsprint is by far more cost effective, but that is not to say that a move to the more conventional glossy style of publication.

I look forward to any and all feedback about this project.

Default Great Idea!!!!!!

MM...I think that is an excellent idea and would be happy to help make it a reality in any way I can. I have some skills in advertising...and freelance writing if you need......anyone else out there willing to help?? My only "suggestion" would be a section devoted to newbies...with tips, suggestions and reference materials. There are so many new people getting into TH'ing now....especially in wake of the new movie "National Treasure"....it's a shame there are so few magazines....or websites, for that matter....that offer this. Almost all of the websites offer a "Newbie" section on their forum....but it is generally just a way to introduce yourself to the other members. We (myself included, as I am new to metal detecting in particular) need something that gives instruction..."where do we go"..."what do we look for"..."how do I make this damn thing work"..."what books or magazines are best"...kind of information. Sure would be nice if we could find it in Treasure Quest. Regardless, I am wishing you the best of luck with this....look forward to my first issue!!!
