Default Who would be interested in a TQ hunt?

In corresponding with Gregory we both would like to see an organized hunt among the TQ members. Greg has asked that I lead the organization of such a hunt.

Normally an organized hunt consists of finding a landowner who has land of historical value and is willing to lease his land to allow participants to hunt it for an allotted amount of time. Each participant pays an entry fee based upon the total cost of the lease and other expenses split among how many participants attend.

The areas he would like to see the hunt take place are PA, MD or VA. I hunt several organized hunts in Virginia and do not want to step on any toes so I opt not to hold it in Virginia but am open to PA or MD.

I have no contacts in either state so I am asking for help. If anyone knows of a historical location in PA or MD that could be leased please email me, that will at lest get us started.

Another thing to consider is do we want to campout on the site or get hotel rooms. My past experiences has been camping out gives all of us a chance to meet and spend time with one another after a day of hunting.

This may or may not happen but it is up to each and every one interested to email me with your thoughts and ideas. My personal email is EHVEST@MSN.COM. I will compile the feedback to determine if this is something we can do.

Sounds good to me ! Lets not rule out having it in ny as there are some great colonial sites that may work.

Hi Ed and the bunch, I think it is a great idea and hope you will be able to put it together. I wouldn't be able to make it myself but am in support of it. So if I can be of help give a call. God Bless everyone!

I would be interested also. Of course it all depends on the final date, time and place but at this point it sounds good. Keep me posted. JoAnne
