Hi folks. Am new here and a real newbie when it comes to mdting. I can see by lurking here the past couple of days before joining that there is a ton of info to absorb and learn. I'll try to be a good student. Am currently un-employed thanks to the great economy here in NW PA. Should give me plenty of time to go out detecting, but everytime I get the time it is usually inclement weather. However, Erie is usually under 2 feet of snow this time of year but we have only had 20 inches in the beginning of Dec. and that disappeared in 4 days of 50 degree temps. Has hovered around that range all winter. I live close to the shores of Lake Erie and planned on getting out to the beaches right after a good Nor'easter but we haven't had any as yet. Only time will tell.
By the way, I have a Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II that I am just beginning to get familiar with. Have found a few pennies and nickles around the local parks but thats about it so far. Can't wait to get to the shoreline and find that treasure chest filled with gold and silver. Wish me luck!!
