Default Pull tabs that deep???:?

Was news to me but yep they can be. Went out yesterday with my Cibola, temp @ 94F, feel like @ 103F, blue skies (typical Louisiana summer), and there's excited me out searching. I located a bunch of pull tabs, 2 screw tops, and after a while thought i was in a cache of foil. Moved sites to a torn down building. Located rebar, 4 square, and more of my pull tab friends. Undaunted, I will be out again today. Atleast I think I know the difference between the sound of rebar and a pull tab. We will see though.

GoFinder,
Be careful in this La heat. Drink plenty of wate. I myself was having an exciting day and pushed myself a little to far in the heat.
If you are finding pulltabs, you will soon find you a gold ring. Don't get frustrated, one great find makes up for all the junk. Have fun.

I used those exact words to myself the other day "Cache of foil". I am hunting my great grandparents homesite and I think my granma must have buried every piece of foil she ever owned.

Default Pulltabs That Deep??????????????

People forget that the pulltab has been around since 1964 or so! That is 43 years ago. Some of us would would be happy to find a coin that old! So unfortunately they can also be found over the 5 or 6 inch depth, maybe even deeper! But one thing is for sure, If you can find pulltabs deep or shallow the old coins(on edge) and rings are surely still there! Of course, if one truly tires of digging tabs, ignore all the medium type hits and only dig the faint and very loud targets! That is what I did Saturday! I found a lot of surface coins and various what-knots. Some areas had so many pulltabs that one target hole would wind up with 2 or 3 pulltabs coming out of the same hole!............Happy TH'ing...........Joe

Amazing where and how many pull tabs one can find !!!

I have been digging every thing lately, this weekend I found 2 pulls just under the surface, rechecked the hole and found 2 pennies just below the pull tabs...............

I'd crank up the disc and do some cherry pickin' first and then go back over it again to weed out the trash and older hidden goodies!!!!

Default Pull Tab Heaven

There is a beach on one of the local lakes that I will be hitting tomorrow evening if the weather permits. I have found about 1 lb of pull tabs there. (That's right at 1300 pull tabs give or take a few, depending on what can they come off of.)

So far I have found keys, three watches, a couple of necklaces and two rings there along with assorted clad coinage. On my Garretts, a ring hits in the pull tab range...

Gotta dig 'em if you want to find the rings though. Pull tabs and Aluminum Foil.. Gotta take the bad with the good.

James
