Hello all, I was just wondering if anyone is coinshooting with their Cibola. I have had some luck but also frustration. Recently I was doing a very old park and ran very low disc( didn't want to lose any old indian heads) but ended up digging tons of pulltabs and junk. Any easy way to do this and have success????? Let me know
Thanks Greg |

Are you using the stock coil? If so you might want to consider the 5.75 coil, it works wonders in trashy areas. You might find that once you use the 5.75 you will not want to go back to the stock coil for any area's you are coin shooting.
Check with Chuck Jones @ Treasure Hut (TQ Sponser), I am sure he can set you up with the coil if you are not already using it. |

Running any detector with low discrimination will certainly open you up to more targets including junk ones. No matter what coil you use running low disc will get you more targets. It is generally understood that turning up your discriminator will lower your depth and sensativity. A larger coil will "mask" some good targets next to bad targets and a smaller coil will help to distinguish the two.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Chuck, I did some air tests a while back and discovered my machine will not pick up the indians or silver war nickels unless its set just above iron. Even a old Buff nickel a friend found registered well below the nickel level. Maybe its just this machine or even bad ground??? You're right about it being lightning fast and deadly accurate, I never use the pinpoint button!!!! I may go over the area again and just "cherrypick" with the disc turned up a bit.
Thanks again Greg |

I tried my old park again this time using disc just above tab and what a difference!! I forgot how quiet this machine can be. I managed to find 10p, 1d, and 3q. Nothing very old but still good to find something. I hope to do some more hunting in before winter!!!!!! Good luck to all
