Two good detectors. The Vaquero has manual ground balance and a threshold search mode. Does both have the same depth and stability? And is one any better for beach hunting?

We have clay in my area and my Ace has a few issues with it. Wanted to add a detector that worked with sound rather than TID to my arsenal. I also checked out the Fisher 1200 series, but Tesoro has better reviews.

I did go to your site last night. You set it up to be very informative and easy to navigate. Plus a PayPal vendor is nice to have (my prefered method). The Tesoro's on Ebay usually command a pretty good resale value, but I think it would be best to buy new, as, I believe, the Lifetime Warranty is only good for the original purchaser. It doesn't make much sense to save $50-$60 and not have that warranty.

Since the Vaquero has a manual GB you can expect it to give you more depth overall. However ; if you don't set it right it will give you less performance . Over all the Vaquero is better depth wise.
