Tesoro Tejon The Tesoro Tejon is able to "see" to incredible depths to find those deep targets. Considered one of the BEST relic machines available. With a high output transmit oscillator to push the signal deeper, and increased gain for more sensitivity to smaller objects. At 17.5kHz, and with MAXBoost sensitivity, a dual ED180 discriminator, and a 3 3/4 turn manual ground balance control, in a very lightweight housing, the Tejon will find those Civil War buttons and miniballs deeper than you can imagine.

Default Supertune a Tejon?

I have been reading around the web about supertuning Tesoro detectors.
I was wondering if this would apply to the Tejon? They say to turn the threshold to max. Is this correct?

Default Hey LR...

...yes you can super tune the Tejon too. The threshold gets turned to max in the all metal mode, and then of course in the discriminate mode you won't hear that loud volume, but when you go to pinpoint, it will blast at you. Super tuning usually provides another inch or two of depth.

Thanks Chuck,
The Tejon pinpoints just fine in discriminate mode. Sometimes I have to pull the trigger to all metal mode. Thats only if I have several targets close to each other.
Oh, one other thing I read somewhere where people were having the same trouble as me and changed out the batteries that came with the detector for some good batts, and the detector (came alive). I'm so ready to get off work to swing the Tejon some more.
