My best token story

In the first year that I was metal detecting, I was talking to my buddy who has been MDing for 25+ years in a downtown bar, and he suggested that I hit the parking meter area a couple blocks south of where we were sitting. "Those meters have been there since the 40's" I finished my beer and headed down the street and started finding tokens like crazy!

I found 90+ tokens inside of an hour - all within a one block parking meter area! Singles, and stacks of 2, 3, 4, 5, even 8 in one spot. I couldn't imagine what was up.

The next day I went back and found another 50 in the same area.

A week or so later I was talking to someone about this, and showed him a few of the tokens, and it turns out they were from the porno arcade arround the corner from the block of meters. (heh heh)

I guess the leftovers were stashed in the ground to discard the evidence. Funny.
