I found a token today " Puritan malt extract co. chicago " date says april 5 1928 , any ideas about it ? thanks from dave in iowa .good for 1 full size can of puritan malt bohemian hop flavored .

Dave--This token isn't in th Vacketta IL Trade Tokens book, but that isn't an indication of rarity or value. There are so many Chicago tokens that it would take a large volume to cover them. The beer/brewery collectors and the collectors of unusual good-for denominations would be very interested in this token, I am sure! The Puritan company was bought by the Pabst Brewing Co. on January 2, 1930, so the token was produced near the end of the company's life.
