Default Hello Everyone!

I figure I might as well scare a few people and post a picture of myself... But, I'll at least tell you some things about myself before I scare you all off. I've been metal detecting since 98-99. I started with a BH101... I've had quite a few machines since then. I now own a Minelab Explorer and a Fisher CZ-3D. I trimmed down my detectors last year to just those two. I plan on getting a F75 at some point here. I'm not much of a clad hunter. I love find oldies. My oldest and favorite find is a 1786 Connecticut Copper. My other interest is astrophotography. If you're interested you can see my images at the link below. Nice meeting everyone! One thing I should note about my size that you can't tell from the image... I am almost 6' 5" so all of my detectors are extended to their full length. I'm also not dressed in the image to impress but to detect...

-Bill

Welcome to Treasure Quest, Bill. Glad to see others here also interested in the hobby of astronomy and especially astrophotography. I have a Meade LX200 8" Classic. I checked out your website, you have some great photos of your astrophotographs. Keep up the great work!

FinalLastDays thanks for the welcome! I'm glad you wrote a message about your interest in astronomy. I was beginning to think that I was the only one that loves both detecting & astronomy. I like the challenges of both hobbies. With both hobbies you can get better by paying attention to the small details. Have a good one!

Thanks for the link Boobie! You guys are making me feel better. I was beginning to think I was the only one that had the detecting/astronomy bug. My wife calls me a geek because of the interest I have. I tell her that I'm the baddest geek she'll ever meet...

Geez, I couldn't find anyone who shared the detecting/astronomy bug... now three people in less than 12 hours. This is my kind of place... There seem to be alot of nice people on this site. I'm really glad I checked your site out.
