Semi-newbie

Hello all!
Name here is Ed. I'm from Sharon, Pennsylvania (on the Ohio border).
Got into th'ing when I was 13 (1977). Tragically, I tripped on our front walk and my Bounty Hunter 840 crashed down the concrete steps to oblivion (1980).
I was side tracked by all the things that grab a teenagers attention (cars, girls, heading to college) and have finally a quarter century later decided to rejoin the hobby.
Just ordered a Garrett GTP 1350 which should be arriving next week. Of course I'll have to wait until Spring to give it a workout. Already researching a couple sites to hunt :idea: .
Other interests: I serve as President/newsletter editor of our local region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (keeps me very busy). Licensed amateur radio operator since 1980 - not very active in that anymore.
Will stop in regularly to read and post. Thanks for running this site!

Hi Ed,
I live in Meadville Pa. perhaps sometime next summer we could get out for a day. I am fairly new at this hobby, definetly still learning, but completely addicted. Anyhow if you're interested let me know.
