Default thanks,

i find them in plowed fields, riverbank,in the river,on dirt roads and construction sites +.got 500 or so but find more broken ones than anything. the small one is a Kirk corner notch, small variety.6980 B.C. + OR - 160 years. It came from a plowed field and have many there and in or by the river. The large one I think is Hopewell,a rare find for me here. I found it in some tree roots by the Kanawha River. will try to post more of them if i can get the pics smaller.

robzombie,,,,look for some high ground close to the grinding stone. look for sandstone with quarter size pits in them, flint chips, rock shelters with black ceilings, can be redish if sandstone.good luck!!

gregory, if in this area before april let me know.can hit a c w relic site and look for some points.

warsawdaddy, i have not tried much by creeks but will take your advice and try.

john,are you around pittsburgh?

Hey Tom, great arrowheads! Me and my husband like to hunt for those points too! My husband likes to look for those points while I am detecting.
I have started a small collection, most of them are broke, but I keep them anyway! I try and keep my eyes open when I am detecting those plowed areas or dozed areas!

I took my niece out for her first time detecting, she dug a hole and found an old ink bottle and guess what else! An arrowhead, her first! It ended up being an old rusty nail, what she was looking for. She is now hooked and proudly took her finds home that day! Just never know what you will find!

Here is a picture of my AR Points I will share with ya, and the other picture is my husbands bone needle he found on our property when we had some dirt work done.
