Default Hi!

Was invited on the nuggetshooter.com site to the forum by PAPPY. Thanks PAPPY, nice forum. I am from the South Hills of Pgh. My main interest is Thunting. At this time I am working on several sites in Pa. and Az. I enjoy research and during the winter months line up stuff for later in the year. I am a Police Sgt. about ready to retire and a Gemologist. So if you need any help with a gemstone ID drop me a line. I use several detectors depending on what I am looking for. For general hunting in the woods I use a Troy X5. It is lightweight and very sensitive. I have all the coils made for it. For searching for the deep stuff after I zero in on a area I use a Minelab SD2100 with a Ismael Jones MOD and a 25" nuggetfinder lightweight coil. I also use this detector for nuggethunting and have 5 coils for it so far. I also have a Whites GMT gold detector with 3 coils. I have 4 stem extensions for it. I can extend the mini coil up to 10 feet and use this for searching into small caves and under ledges. I don't want the timber rattlers latching on to me. I have a Garrett CXIII with 3 coils and a 2 box attachment. Also a Falcon MD10 that uses 1" PCP pipe and a 1" coil. I use this for searching in, around and under large bolders. It extends about 6'. I've used other detectors but the ones I have now work best for me. I've been spending a time in Elk county. I have some posts on that hunt on the http://www.nuggetshooter.com site under the treasure section, SGTFDA, my Pa. project.

Default Uniontown

Greg

I was just down that way to pick up 20 handguns from Pa Police Supply up over the mountain. The owner was telling me about all the lead he finds in his garden up by the battlefield. I was going to ask to search but he just sold the house.
