I am from western NY and have been detecting for 2 years. I have a Minelab expII that has produced well. In Noveber my partner and I found a colonial site that has produced 44 pre 1865 coins and over 80 buttons including British, Loyalist and Continental military. about 40% of the coins are state issue.
other finds this month are 3 indian heads and a flying eagle penny and Bank of Upper canada half penny token 1844. for all you new guys and gals out there all I can say is research research research.
