hey pris. i am kinda new here and dont always have alot to say but that sure is a beautiful pic. good to have people get out into the outdoors and enjoy Gods creation. I love to camp too. that area in your pics looks very inviting and if i live out there i dont think i would ever return to the house. my son and his new wife are fixin to move to cali. in early nov. as well. just plain beautiful pics.. keep smiling..

Thanks, Tinman!! I spent about 20 to 30 hours working on it, so I'm pretty proud of it. I found the stick in the Sequoia National Park, so the piece of wood has a bunch of meaning to me. That was a great trip. If anyone has not been to see the giant sequoia trees, I highly recommend that you do.
Seeing a living thing that's been around for thousands of years is just so awe inspiring, but the shear size of these trees is what really gets to you. The General Sherman is the largest living thing, by volume, on earth.

Go discover America, everybody! It's a beautiful thing

Gosh, didn't mean to turn this into a lecture. heheh I love the stick, too...that was my point

i thought the hat was ok.. did like the smiles.. but gotta question the walking stick?? did you make it yourself? that looks pretty good. is the rest of it just as interesting or only the top end.. i have my own walking stick as well. part of a tree i cut down a few years ago. it is something special in my life and was wondering if you might hold yours dear too? anyway keep enjoying ,, i quit bothering.

Thank you so very much! I'm from KY originally, so when i moved to So Cal, I thought it was really ugly because it's all desert. You just need to get out away from the city.

KY country is still prettier than southern CA country. Northern CA is a different story, I think. It's all pine trees and grand.
