I am fairly new to Metal Detecting. Have played around a bit with an old Bounty Hunter for the past couple of years with a little luck finding coins. I recently purchased a Garrett Ace 250, but it is still winter in southern Mn. so the ground is still pretty frozen. I am so looking forward to getting out and doing some real detecting with a good detector. I would really like to find some places in southern Minnesota to look for older coins. Not that I dont enjoy finding current ones, it would just be kind of exciting to find something older. Is there anyone out there who has detected in southern Mn? How did you find your spots?
