Default Colby from Upsate SC

Hello all.... I bought myself a Minelab X-70 a bit ago. Love this hobby. I guess the best thing I have found would be a 1907 wheatie. I know, not that great, but fun never the less. Great forum!

Great find on the Wheat!

You might want to check that date though?? The 1st year wheats were made was 1909? Make sure of the date. If in fact it is a 1907 it was an Indian Head!! I really hope it is, Beale.

EBC.... as I am new to this hobby.. I do make mistakes. It actually is an Indian head on one side..very bad condition. I am able to make out the date.. and it does say 1907. The reverse side is almost incomprehensible. So, I probably made a mistake by claiming it was a wheatie. I can make out the faint wheat design... but it is in bad shape.

I was down for five days. LOVE'd every minute of it. I made the trip back home in 11 hours only stopping for gas. Did not have time to go do any MDing. Maybe next time.

Hey Colby, nice find. One of my first good finds when I started detecting besides wheaties was a 1907 IH and the second IH I found was also a 1907. I was begining to wonder if that was the only year they were made .

Congratulations, IH's are always nice finds, and actually my favorite copper coin for looks!
