Default Hello from NE Calif.

I've been lurking here awhile, enjoying the info and looking at everyone's finds, and thought it was time I jumped in. I have only been detecting for about 8 months but have become addicted. I use a White's MXT and look mostly for junk, er umm I mean relics. There are alot of old homesteads in our area and when finding a rusted square nail or a household item I get a feeling that I am touching the life that lived in this area long before me. First time I found a some clad I thought "Boy this is really cool", but then the thought cooled a bit when I remembered I had just exchanged a handful for a Snickers bar on the way out and went back to hunting rust.
Other hobbies include photography, pen and ink art, making leather horse tack, playing with my horse Shiloh, he's an 8 year old mustang that had been rounded up off BLM land in Northern Nevada, hangin with our four dogs and sharing life with my wife. She is a silversmith and also has an adopted mustang.
Nice meeting you folks... Bob
