Thumbs up Hello from Washington

Hi yall.....

I am new to the hobby. Actually, I still have never even touched a detector yet, as I am waiting on my Bounty Hunter to get here. It should be here on my birthday (oct 5th). Cant wait to get it so that I can get out there.

I first learned of prospecting when I was about 14, helping my brother look for gold. Then when I was about 28, my dad bought a detector. When he died, I was hoping to get my hands on it, but my uncle got it instead.

I am very excited about getting into this, because it has always been a dream of mine to find lost "treasure". I have already gotten all the rules and regs that my state requires, and since they dont believe in "finders, keepers", I dont think I will be doing a whole lot on state park lands, but oh well....lots of city and county parks that dont have any type of regs.

Look forward to meeting you all, and hope I will be able to one day share all my finds with you.

Thanks for all the wonderful welcomes.

By far this is THE MOST friendliest board I have ever been on.

Since I still have a little while til my detector actually gets here, I have been planning different trips to start me out. So far, I have 3 trips planned for 3 consecutive days on the 8th, 9th, and 10th. I will be using the 5th, 6th, and 7th as the orientation days basically just running around my own backyard getting a feel for everything.....hehe

Anyways....again thanks for the welcomes, and I will surely post anything that I get (within reason of course).
