Wink Hello from Central Sierra Mountains

Hi,
I live in the central Sierra mountains near Yosemite Park. I have found arrowheads and old bottles over the years when camping and fishing. There are an abundance of historical locations near by. Old mining, logging, cattle, railroad and indian camps are just a short distance away. The metal detector opened up a whole new avenue to my artifact hunting, a great hobby.
My wife also detects and enjoys the hobby probably more than I do. We have purchased 3 detectors so far, Garrett GTAx 400 (our first), Whites Surfmaster PI (hers), Minelab Sovereign Elite (she might let me use it).
I like all of the detectors, they all find stuff, just differently, still learning new and better methods from reading posts in this forum.
Wife said "quit typing and lets go detecting!"
