Hi Del, I am very familiar with our area since I work in Jamestown!!!!! Lots of areas to hit with the detector. I hope the snow will be forgiving the winter!!!! Can't wait til spring to come. Maybe I'll see you out sometime!!!

Welcome Del!

I'm also from Mercer County. Live in Sharon, not too far from JohnWPa. Jamestown is a nice, old, quiet corner of the county. Perfect spot for MD'ing. Have fun up that way!

Default good choice!

Del, the xlt is one fine machine. Like you, I started mding last year at this time. Read your manual a couple of times. Use a hi-lite pen for the important stuff. It will save you time if you have to go back to something. Also read as many forums on the computer as you can. Theres alot of wise old mders out there. Read and try what they are doing. Ive learned a lot from the forums. I only hope that one day, I can detect as good as them! Mding is an exciting hobby! Every dig is like opening a Christmas present. You dont know what your going to get.** * tis the season!****Ive had many nice finds my first year.Ive met alot of nice people like boobie, mr.silver and marc(va.).Im hooked and you will be too. Best of Luck greg N.B. of P.A.
