I agree,I worked a boat last spring for a couple months other than that my fish has been limited since I quit deckhanding the past 2 years...alot of the time we would just cut the throats and cheeks out of the carcasses after we flieted/bagged them for the customers..Those grey/brown funny looking fish with the snapper is called "Grey Triggerfish" it is the absolute best fish in the world IMO...so if your ever down this way try to get some of it.

But your photos are making me REAL hungry.
I see you have good taste...Wahoo is a close 2nd...I love how the meat of it is so coiled,my brother n law (passed away a few years ago) was Samoan, his mother used to send him a box from there and it always had "canned wahoo" sure enough you open it up and it was that perfect coil, and made good sandwiches to.

Nice pics Bullshark. Got into cobia and trigger fish off Cape Charles VA, by the lights or towers, lots of fun. I used to wreck fishing for taug and Black Bass and got some great fish on top the Mowhawk and off Chincoteague.

First Mate is a tough job and the good ones are really appreciated. Where you at? HH Bill

working out of Orange Beach,Alabama....well I guess Ive worked out of both passes quite a bit but OB was the most recent....I currently do landscaping and lawn maintenance(the other trade),but mating is definately alot of work and alot of dedication...Here its seasonal so your like 7 days a week 120 days straight and constantly praying for foul weather so you can get a day off(but then ofcours e you have to do boatwork)...Then if you dont save it right(the money),and trust me I didnt, your broke all winter and resort to selling everything but the kitchen sink on ebay(JK)

I understand how difficult being a mate on a fishing boat can be, because i used to go on lots of salt water fishing trips and heck we would come in exhausted and the captain and mate would be talking about getting ready for the next outing that afternoon or evening.

Yep you got to get goin while the goin is good when the bite is on.

I'm also in the lawn and landscaping business since 1979 and began as a helper to my dad who was a true pro gardener in the late 60's early 70's.

Both tough trades and keeping track of cashflow in a seasonal business priority #1 and wish you well in your endevours and also with your MD hobby. HH Bill

Bill ,Ive worked with my friends doing Lawns off and on for quite sometime, this year I plan to get a 36 in deck mower and a trailer so I can get my own thing going for next year...I actually enjoy doing lawns and also it can get you great access to some MD spots to hunt.

Ranger, is Pine Island down near Boca Grande?Ive made 2 trips down there before and also fished 10000 Islands once, love snook and we dont have them this far north.

Also you a wild firefighter? I used to fight fires for Escambia,Co we were volunteer at the time but the only fire protection around other than the paid crews of the city limits, course they dont respond to county...We were running 1200 calls a year, fought alot of structure fires and sure do miss it..Took my 360hrs Minimum Standards of Firefighting back in 94 but eneded up going fishing after I got the cert.
