Just so you don't get off on the wrong tangent, Grasshopper. The rules state that the answer will be a geographical location and a person, place or thing associated with that location. O'Hare Airport was the place and Chicago was the geographical location in my first clue solution. Don't be fooled Mate, Shawn is one crafty quiz master or master of the hunt depending which you prefer.

Cheers,

Default AW8 - Clue #3

Good luck ladies and gents!

Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a peaceful glen surrounded by a beautiful forest, people laughed and frolicked.

The evil King soon found out about this and said: “You can’t have fun here – you’ll scare away all the rabbits – and you CERTAINLY can’t enjoy yourselves on the Sabbath!”

So the glen was silent.

Then, a new, kinder King came along and said: “Rabbits be damned – I and my Kingdom will enjoy ourselves if we so choose!”

So, for over 300 years, Kings and commoners alike, once again enjoyed this wonderful place – until, once again, a new King arrived and decided that people shouldn’t have fun for free – and decreed that payment should be received for the privilege of an enjoyable, sunny afternoon.

And the practice continues to this very day…however, over the years, rabbits aren’t the only wildlife allowed to interact with the fine folks of the glen…stories abound of sightings of a great bear and a ferocious tiger….myths perhaps? Personally, I believe every word…
