New TEST Question...
According to Purist..Buccaneers were Not Pirates But Hunters of wild cattle and pigs, Who cured their meat on a wooden hurdle or framework over a fire....
The other name for this hurdle is where the term buccaneer came from...What is that Name ?
Who did they learn the curing process from ?

Buccaneer derives from the Arawak word Buccan and they learned the curing from the French

The word originated with the Tupi Indians of Brazil. The Portuguese learned the curing process by watching Tupí Indians smoking meat on a wooden frame the natives called a bocaem. Later translated into French (boucan).

OK dependin on where ya did your research, ya may have a different answer . I was lookin for the Carib Indians. So we will go on to the next test question.
Next TEST Question.....
He was a Famous Gentlemen Pirate...But not a Capt.
He commanded a fleet of 40 ships in 1610.
Who was He ?
If not a Capt. then what ?
What did his Fleet do ?
