I hunted around the foundation of the old foundry house and out on the sand bar. I only found some clad and a few matchboxs cars on the sandbar. I plan on going back this summer because there are several other good locations right in the same area. This is a well know area and has been hunted intensively over the years but I think there is still lots of good things to be found yet. I was rereading the link about the history and just realized there was once a amusement park about a 1/8 of a mile away from the foundry. I'm guessing that most people are so blown away by the foundry and the surrounding old houses that they don't move on and research the amusement park. I know thats how it was for me. Anyway it a cool place just to go and soak up the mojo...
