Me be living in the wild west, rats abound. They not be the sea rats, The European Brown rats but rats not the less. Pack Rats, Hanta Virus carrying Deer mice. The lot. I had a cat killed by the rats. He ate one and died from stuff the rat was carrying. You be needing a cat of formidable stature. Say a Bob Cat, Lynx, At least a Manx tail less with 6 claws on the for end.

I had a Manx called Critter and he did most well. He brought home Jack rabbits twice his size.

If I be on ship, I would like a cat like that!
