Hello Everyone!
I'm new here but have been on other MD'ing forums for a while. Does anyone have a Platypus coil for the SE lying around not being used? I may consider a new one as well. A lower rod would be nice also. Thanks! GRB |

Hi GoldenRoyBoy and welcome to TQ.
You may want to contact our sponsors to see if they can get you one?

Hello everyone and thanks again for the warm invite! It's nice having anothe site to wander and plunder! :)
Regarding contacting the site's sponsors, I actually did! It appears the Platypus is a hot number right now and is in short supply. I've never personally used any of Coiltek's coils, being an Excelerator man but thought I'd give this one a try. At $200, the coil appears priced about right. Good swinging! GRB ![]() |

I broke down, cried, and my wife felt sorry for me. She said, "Hon, if it means that much to you I guess we can put off buying new shoes for the kids until next winter!"
I ordered a new one from a sponsor, along with lower rod. It came in yesterday. I immediately went to a favorite spot of mine and, this is no joke my first coin was a 1912 Barber dime! It was in roots and (Dam-e-ittt)I managed to gouge it before bringing it to light but I got it! I can't see the Platypus outperforming my Excelerator 10x14 but its smaller size is a plus. It's my first orange thing! :) Thank you Board! GRB |
