I just received a roll of "Unsearched IH pennies" I bought off ebay. What a bunch of junk about 50 pieces of junk to be exact. They were all very worn but the worst part most if not all had been cleaned and some had even been polished. Not one decent coin in the whole roll. Two were unreadable. But it was a gamble and I lost big time on this one, Oh well one of life's little lessons I guess. Everyone heve a great day and the best of luck. Catch y'all later, Richard
P.S. sorry about the pics I just used the scanner nothing worth seeing anyway. |

...and not much can be done about getting ripped off on ebay. Check out my site or tell me what you might be looking for.I may be able to get what you are looking for. All of my coins are guaranteed as stated or your money back. Montani Coins & Collectable's (Powered by CubeCart) Have sold to several other TQ members with no complaints. Any particular Indian Head you are searching for?
Don't feel to bad about the indian heads,I bought a fake Trade Dollar on-line for $110.00. ![]()

I buy (and sell) on eBay quite often. The only time I purchased old coins was only for the reason to get an idea what that particular coin came up as on my metal detector - and I chose to buy them marked as "not good condition" to keep the cost down. I personally have nothing against eBay - but I do caution buyers as there are many "bad sellers" out there. One excellent thing eBay does is offers both buyers and sellers the opportunity to rate the other by rating (positive, negative and neutral). When a buyer is not sure if a seller is reputable, he/she must look at the number of transactions next to the eBayer's ID... the higher the number, the more business (buying & selling) that person has done on eBay. Then the percentage amount near that ID tells you the percentage of positive feedback that seller retains. The higher the percentage, the more reputable that seller is. You can also click on the number and see what people have written concerning the buyer/seller to get a better "feel" about that person. It's basically a consumers report for that particular individual. I have never had a bad buy before on eBay, and I have done much business through them. Likewise, I still retain a 100% positive feedback because I go that extra mile to make sure my buyers are as happy as possible with their purchase. I have purchased my first metal detector (Ace 250) on eBay, as well as most of the accessories (headphones, vibraprobe 560, nighthunter) with no complaints whatsoever. Be careful when making purchases on eBay - there are a lot of bad deals out there. But in whole, eBay is not to be avoided if one can find a great deal.
This is just my humble opinion.
