Just got a late Birthday present! Buddy gave me a 1943 penny. I've never had one. And know they were issued during WW2? Right? I know it's not valueable, But I like it.

Sly, you're right, they were issued in 1943 to save on copper which was considered an important war material. They were stamped from steel that was coated with zinc. These are always nice to hang on to.

They are quite nice. I think mine is a 1943 But still very nice because it is so different. Mine was found in pocket change.
