Yes I've heard it. 2009 will be another 50 years of the anniversery, just like 1959, when they changed the Wheat cent. I'm sure it will be changed.

I keep expecting them to go just go away, since the darn things cost much more to make than $.01. I could see them maybe changing the composition again, but I'm not sure what to -- aluminum?

Your right about the cost but nickels have been costing the mint 7 cents to make for years and they keep doin it. Go figure. I think we could do without em now and then the millions we have found would go up.

Well,... at least it looks neat. And it looks like it'll only be in rotation like that for 2009, and then back to normal...?

I din't care for any of the renderings !!
Being an avid cent collector ,,I would like to see even for 1 year a return to the original composition and a 2009 VDB Wheat cent !! The proof coin would be an S-VDB . Why change the designer to commemorate the 1909 introduction of the Lincoln cent ?? Metalman
