Default New Dollar in Hand

Hey all,
I just received one of the new Presidential Dollars... for free. So, I thought I'd post a real photo of it. I know that most of you have probably seen the sketches and drawings of them, but here it is in the flesh.... or in the metal I should say.

Cool -thank you for sharing. How are they different from a quarter? Are they bigger?

Yes, they are bigger than a quarter... and thicker too. If you are familiar with the Sacagawea golden dollars that have been floating around since 2000, these new Presidential dollars are the same size and metallic content as those. Personally, now that I have had the chance to examine one close up, I absolutely prefer the Sacagawea dollar over these new ones. I just think the rendering of Washington is sub-par and it looks more like a souvenier token than a real U.S. coin.

I won't be collecting those....George looks like someone pissed in his cheerios.

I think the corresponding first lady coins/medals would make an infinitely more interesting collection.

I have to agree with Wyatt Earp, George sure looks mad about something, and got a good chuckle after reading his comment.......treasurehunter00

Not according to this tread
New Dollar Coin???

By looking at the picture above it does have "E PLURIBUS UNUM" stamped on the edge, but I don't see "In God We Trust" anywhere.

Where is it

Doug
