Vibra Probe Pinpointer TREASURE PRODUCTS - The Vibra-Probe Pinpointer is a pulse induction, hand held electronic PinPointer that communicates with the user via vibration. Because it is a PI detector, it is excellent in black sand and wet salt sand as well as normal inland soils. The detectors range is approximately 1" on a US penny sized coin. Vibra-Probe is a very well built, beefy probe which turns itself on when pointed upward for one second, and off when pointed downward for one minute. Operating on one 9 volt battery, the Vibra-Probe 560 is supplied with a belt mountable sheath.

Default Vibra Probe holster modification

Some where on the forum were post on pinpointers And as usual the 560 came up,now I'm not sure cuz I can't find that post again but I think it was Janiece but they were saying that they wished they could clip the 560 holster on as they don't wear a belt. If you take a cell phone case and cut the back off with enough material still around the clip, you can then sew it or glue it on to the back of the 560 holster and your good to go. It works just figure out what kind of clip you prefer. Metal or the Plastic one. Hope this may help someone,it works for me.

Default Great idea

Now why didn't I think of that? I hate the way you have to undo your belt to put the holster on. Great idea, I'm gonna try it.

Howdy. I know what you mean. some things are just to close to your face to see. I hate belts but only occured to me as I was reading Janiece's post about wishing she could just clip hers on & at that moment my cell phone rang and when I went to grab it out of it's case the light bulb went on. Some things are just to simple. Hope it works for you,

Wow Tinman - I agree what a great idea. I too do not wear a belt. I usually run the string of my treasure apron thru the holster and then tie it in back. But having to wear the apron all the time is a pain. This might just solve my problem. Thank whoever it was that called you that day. They may have started something. JoAnne

Default Hi JoAnne

I Hope It works for you. I either on my side or back pocket & Ive tried shakin & wigglin, bending over and whatever I could think of and it hasn't come off and the 560 stays in place. It was one of my friends from back in IN. so when I go back there in a few weeks, I think I'll get him a case of his favorite Brew. Let me know how it works for you. I agree I hate aprons to, Imean it's always flippin up & down when it's windy and especially if it's really sunny out, then all my Tin gets a little darker except where the apron was so I end up with a big square shiny spot . LOL. If it works for you to just pass it on. Good Luck & HH.

I use an old belt that was one size larger than my normal size and I have the my finds pouch with my tools in and my vibra probe permanently placed on it. That way I can just put the belt on over my other clothing. Like a carpenters tool belt. It also keeps all of these items together so I am ready to put it on and go. I don't like using a nail apron because is tends to fold up as you bend down to dig. My pouch and probe are always on my side. And a nail apron doesn't provide a very good place for your digging tools. I hope this info is helpful.
