Vibra Probe Pinpointer TREASURE PRODUCTS - The Vibra-Probe Pinpointer is a pulse induction, hand held electronic PinPointer that communicates with the user via vibration. Because it is a PI detector, it is excellent in black sand and wet salt sand as well as normal inland soils. The detectors range is approximately 1" on a US penny sized coin. Vibra-Probe is a very well built, beefy probe which turns itself on when pointed upward for one second, and off when pointed downward for one minute. Operating on one 9 volt battery, the Vibra-Probe 560 is supplied with a belt mountable sheath.

MinelabMan,
I will need to use it in the field to know for sure, but the vibration pulse intensity is pretty strong, so I don't think gloves or small items would be an issue.

I airtested again last night with a ruler as a guide. I got 1 1/2" for a quarter and 1 1/4" for a dime nickle and penny. Plenty good for me, after all, it is a pinpointer.....

Not sure if the 570 works like the 560, but the 560 pulses once if it's around and inch away, twice if it's closer and thrice if it's dead on. There's no lessening of vibration. It's a pretty strong pulse and I feel it through my gloves. Actually, when I put it back into its holster, sometimes it freaks me out because it pulses when it turns off. It's a bit of a shock

Sounds like if you're sore at the end of the day, you could tape a penny to the tip and use it as a massager .

I have to wear a pager at work. I keep it in "vibrate" mode, I aslo work on electric equipment. I was once elbow deep in a big ole compressor. My pager went off, scared me so bad!! I thought I was being shocked, Beale.
