Default What TQ means to me

Treasure Quest is not only a Metal Detecting Forum.
Yes it is a place to learn about Metal Detecting but it is also a place to learn about people and to have fun. Laughter and Friendship is a good thing and I get so much of both from this site.
The people on here have honestly got to be the best I have ever met, they are so caring.
I am a member of several MD forums here in the UK and another in the US but none of them come up to the standards of Treasure Quest.
TQ is the biggest and best family in the world and I am proud to be a member.

What TQ means to me is family. We feel each others pain, sorrow, and happiness. We help each other out with our questions and answers, and always with our HEARTS! Every one here is an extension to my family, though I haven't personally met any one yet, I feel closer than some of my relatives. This is an AWESOME place!
Thank You PAPPY for inviting me here! Thank You TINMAN for your metal covered heart!!

Default What TQ means To Me !

Anne.. So Very, Very Well Stated ! It is so Great to Have You and Leslie and others from so Far Away be Such a Big and Vital Part of this place I call Home ! Thank You for ALL You Contribute and Share with Us on this side of the Pond and of course for Being YOU !
Sarge, You are Welcome and I'd like to Thank PAPPY to for bringing You to Us. You are Another Blessing to this Site. Excellent way to put how You Feel !
TQ Is so Very Special to Me ! What TQ Means to me is that I have Found a Place, A Very Special Place with Very Special People, The Likes of wich are Rare Today. I have only been in this computer world for about 3 Yrs. 2 of those were to learn about Adobe Photo Shop for Graphic Arts wich was part of a job I was doing and I never used it for anything outside of that. I have been on TQ for about 10 months now and have only been a part of 1 other forum wich was Specificly for a Certain Type of Detector and it is a Good Site. Tho I have not been a Part of other forums I do Surf Very Many and None Come Close to this one. I May Not be Computer savvy or have alot of Forum Experience BUT I Do Have ALOT of Experience with People from ALL Stages of Life and I Mean From The Best You would ever want to meet to the Dregs of the Earth and I'm Here To Tell You, This Is The Cream Of The Crop !! If Anyone were to ask Me.. What do You want to be or If I was to have anything Remembered about Myself I would Hope It would be Said.. He was A Good Human Being, Key Word Human ... Pertaining to HUMANE and if there is ANYWHERE where these words Apply It Is here at TQ ! Never and I Mean NEVER in MY Life have I Seen and come to Know SO Many people From so many different walks of life and backrounds that will Give So Much Of Themselves In So Many Ways ! Laughter & Tears, Wisdom & Philosophy and of Course Their Knowledge and Opinions and Thoughts about This Hobby that Ties Us and Brings Us all Together. Folks Here come Together for the Good of All not just for themselves, They Rally to Help another in need without Hesitation ! The Members Here are Simply THE BEST ! TQ is My HOME as Much as the Place I Live at and It's members my Family as much as those I live with.
What Does TQ Mean to Me, It means that It's Always As I Say When I State... Theres No Place Like Home !!!!!
I Leave everyone with this little poem I wrote.......

The Stranger......
Just when your at your worst
Someone comes along and changes everything
A strangers kindness is the purest
No Reason, No Expectation, Just Genuine
Just when your ready to quit
A word, a phrase or gesture makes all the difference
A difference to a new beginning !

Th TINMN

Having been involved in other hobbies, I was a member of a few forums which revolved around those activities. When I developed an interest in MDing (last fall) I knew it was a simple matter of a browser search to lead me to related forums.
After joining a couple (forums), it became quickly apparent they "weren't for me". I won't go into detail, nor mention names.....but I obviously wasn't a member of their little "clicks".....so I left. lol, one forum doesn't even let you leave (delete your own profile) without their permission , I guess it's the only way they can keep any sort of (false) membership numbers. I also witnessed alot of those "double-standards" which I can not stomach....you know....."you can't do this on my forum, but my buddies can" kind of stuff.
I happen to run across TQ, and bookmarked it, and was a "lurker" for awhile prior to joining.....and I'm glad I did. I was warmly welcomed, accepted like I'd been here forever, and have seen none of the behavior that I'd witnessed on other sites. I understand everyone has "bad days", and sometimes statements get taken out of context, but direct attacks do nothing to promote our hobby. I'm here to learn, share experiences, laughs, and and have a general good time.

TQ does seem like one big family, which I'm glad to be a part of, and TQ IS the best site on the net
