DFX - Minor repair????

I would HATE to have to send my DFX in for repairs, but I have a problem wth the control panel head and the screw that holds it on to the frame. It has always worked it self loose, and I would re-tighten, but now it seems to be totally stripped out.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to fix this on my own?
Anyone have access to the repair manual?
A good "jerry-rig" solution?

Duct tape over the screw works for about 1/2 hour.
Possibly make new threads with a tap?

Hey, I want to thank you for the suggestion.
I was going to use superglue or epoxy, but the locktite seems to be functioning well.

Two hunts and no loose screw.

KICK A$$!!!!!

So far, so good.

I didn't actually use Lock-tite, but is a simalar product with low, medium, and high strength. I used the medium, and let it set for 18 hours vs. the 24 hour recomendation, and it is holding great!!!
