Default a slight problem with my dfx

I have found tons of quarters and change but I feel like I might be going over some jewlery without realizing it. The other day when I was at the beach there was some lady that told me to scan the detector on her toe ring and nothing happened with the detector. Also at the catholic school when I found that 18k earring I saw it with my eyes and when I scanned it it was like such a really low faint tone like the one where they are checking your hearring at the doctor. I had my dfx on the beach coin/jewlery mode. Has anyone experienced this and what can I do to correct it. thanks.

Default Not Sure BUT....

If no one here has any idea then go to " DFX Only " Website & you will surely get some feedback there. Hope this helps.

Default Might be the wrong setting.

There are a couple of reasons why it may not work right, salt, black sand, interference, and a few others. Try these and let me know how it works.
  • Take the battery out and restart the machine.
  • Make sure you are using the right program, Jewelry Beach only, (it might be that you are using the coin and jewelry program and it does not cancel out the salt).
Read the book Understanding White’s DFX by “Jimmy “Sierra” Normandi” there is a lot of help information, I still think that the White’s site is offering it for free until the end of the month.

The DFX has a FIXED ground balance when in dual freq to salt. The more concentration... the stronger the DFX reacts. The DFX will ground balance out at 0 or higher. Combine that with the 0 to +7 that the beach program disc out and you can see part of your problem. Anytime you disc out a VDI number it affects the sensitivity to others close to it.
