Question Question for DFX users

I use the SunRay probe on the DFX. I would like to be able to slide the lower shaft up when I put it away.
But with the bolts going thought the upper shaft I can't do that.
Since the shaft is round I can't think of a way to mount the probe holder some other way and keep it on the top.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Boobie, I don't have a SunRay probe, but how about pulling the lower shaft out and using a bungee cord to hold them together side by side.
Just a thought.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that and it just wasn't practical.
But thanks for the thought.

Good idea I didn't think of that.
I'm gonna try it tomorrow.
THANKS
